PP Divya Stands Firm on Bribery Allegations Against ADM Naveen Babu

PP Divya has alleged that ADM Naveen Babu accepted a bribe, supporting her claim with phone records to bolster her argument for bail. The complaint states that action was taken against Prashanth, who allegedly offered the bribe. Divya claims that ADM Naveen Babu called Prashanth and met him in person, using this interaction as evidence of bribery.

Divya’s attorney argued in court that she surrendered promptly after her bail plea was denied. They emphasized that she is fully cooperating with the investigation and did not intend to drive the ADM to take any drastic steps. Furthermore, Prashanth’s statement reportedly confirms that a bribe was given, aligning with the inquiry findings by the Director of Medical Education.

Records reveal that the ADM called Prashanth on October 6 at 11:10 am, and they were in the same tower location at a later call, which allegedly proves an in-person meeting. CCTV footage of their meeting was also submitted as evidence. Despite Divya’s earlier statements denying any prior relationship with Prashanth and having no connections to a petrol pump, her anticipatory bail was dismissed by the district court on October 29, leading to her detention.

Currently, Divya remains in remand at the women’s prison in Pallikkunnu, Kannur. With her bail likely to be contested by the prosecution and Naveen Babu’s wife’s attorney, Divya’s lawyer plans to appeal to the High Court if her plea is denied.
