Prithviraj knows how to present Mohanlal the way fans want, says Antony Perumbavoor

This film, which was directed by Prithviraj for the first time, was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Now, Antony Perumbavoor is talking about the film and director Prithviraj.

Lucifer is a milestone film in the 25-year journey of Aashirvad Cinemas. Antony said that director Prithviraj knows how to give the Mohanlal that fans want. Antony Perumbavoor has been sharing notes on social media about each film he has produced and the cast and crew on the occasion of Aashirvad’s 25th anniversary. Antony’s note about Lucifer is part of this.

Antony says that the success of Lucifer marked Aashirvad Cinemas in Indian cinema itself, and that the fact that all three films he directed were produced under Aashirvad’s banner is proof of Prithviraj’s friendship with him.

Lucifer, the 24th film of Aashirvad Cinemas, stands as an important chapter in our journey. Over the years, Lal sir and I have worked together on countless films. Lucifer, a project directed by Prithviraj and scripted by Murali Gopi, was very different from anything we had done before.

That film, where Prithviraj and Murali Gopi came together, took Malayalam cinema to new heights. Together, they showed the Indian film world that our small world is a source of talent with the potential to make a big impact. The friendship that Lal sir, Prithviraj and I had in Lucifer later led to Bro Daddy and now the much-awaited Empuraan.

For me, one of the reasons Aashirvad Cinemas is getting global recognition today is because of the success of Lucifer. I am grateful for this relationship and friendship that has taken us to such heights.

While Aashirvad Cinemas has produced many memorable films, it was Lucifer that took our journey to new heights by flying from record to record in the Malayalam film industry. The fact that all three films directed by Prithviraj so far have been under the Aashirvad banner is a testament to the friendship we share. Thank you to dear Lal sir, Raju, Murali and the entire team of Lucifer for being a part of this journey,’ wrote Antony Perumbavoor.
