The intensity of rain has decreased in the state. There are no special rain alerts for any district. The India Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in isolated places in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha over the next three hours.
The warning also mentions that over the Andaman Sea, strong winds with speeds ranging from 35 to 45 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 55 km/h, and adverse weather conditions are likely.
Meanwhile, due to the influence of a low-pressure system, there is a possibility of isolated rain accompanied by thunderstorms in the state over the next four days. No special rain warnings have been issued for any district today. The fishing ban along the Kerala coast has been lifted as weather conditions have improved.
However, a warning has been issued in the Pathanamthitta district due to rising water levels in the Achankovil River. Orange alerts have been declared at the Kalleli and Konni gauge stations of the state irrigation department. Residents along the banks of the Achankovil River are advised to remain vigilant and avoid entering or crossing the river under any circumstances, as per the warning.
