South Indian Superstar Allu Arjun Released from Jail

Hyderabad: South Indian superstar Allu Arjun was released from jail following his remand in connection with the tragic death of a woman during the commotion at a theater screening Pushpa 2 on December 4.

The actor was freed after spending a night in the Telangana Chanchalguda Jail. His release came after receiving a copy of the interim bail order granted by the High Court.

A dramatic twist unfolded early this morning as Allu Arjun was released through the back gate of the jail instead of the main entrance. Authorities cited security concerns as the reason for this decision, as a large crowd, including fans, had gathered at the main gate.

Along with Allu Arjun, two theater owners, who were also arrested in connection with the incident, were granted bail and released. The owners of Sandhya Theater had been arrested the previous day and were granted bail by the High Court.

Allu Arjun’s legal team criticized the delay in his release, claiming that despite the bail order being signed the previous night, the release procedures were not completed on time. They announced plans to pursue legal action against the delay.

Before the actor’s release, his father, Allu Aravind, and father-in-law, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, visited Chanchalguda Jail. The prison superintendent cited procedural delays as the reason for the extended overnight stay, explaining that the late arrival of the bail documents made immediate release unfeasible. Allu Arjun spent the night in Class 1 barracks at Chanchalguda Jail before his release.
