The Kerala government has informed the High Court that the rape complaint lodged by a housewife against former Malappuram SP Sujith Das and other police officers is baseless. According to the government’s statement, there is no evidence to support the allegations, and thus, no grounds to register a case against the officers.
The complaint filed by the housewife is a false complaint. The police had collected necessary tests and evidence in this regard. The police told the High Court that their statements were contradictory, they could not give accurate statements about the places and circumstances where they said they were molested, and there was no evidence to register an FIR on the complaint of the housewife.
The housewife had filed a petition in the Kerala High Court, alleging that the police failed to take action on her complaint against officers, including former Malappuram SP Sujith Das and DYSP V.V. Benny. In response, the government submitted an affidavit, stating that the complaint was false and lacked any basis for a case. The affidavit was submitted by Malappuram Additional SP Feroz M. Shafiq, clarifying that no evidence supported the allegations against the officers.
