Kottayam: BJP leader P.C. George surrendered in court after being denied anticipatory bail in a case of making hateful remarks during a channel discussion. P.C. George surrendered at the Erattupetta Munsif Magistrate Court.
PC George appeared in court after receiving legal advice that he had no other option but to surrender. The police team that arrived at the house on Saturday to serve a notice after the court rejected his bail application earlier, returned because P.C. George was not there.
PC George had also written to the Pala DySP office seeking time till this afternoon. He had sought time citing health issues. However, the police had not responded to this letter.
