Sanjay Dutt, now cancer free

Sanjay Dutt, who had been undergoing treatment for lung cancer since August, has recovered. Dutt shared the news in a statement on Twitter and Instagram on the occasion of his twin children, Shahraan and Iqra’s birthday. He shared a statement with his fans about his health on Wednesday, saying that he has emerged ‘victorious’ in the battle. ‘The last few weeks have been a very difficult time for me and my family. But as they say, God gives his mighty warriors the toughest battles. Today, on the occasion of my children’s birthday, I am happy to come out victorious from this battle and be able to give them the best gift I can, the health and well-being of our family’, says Sanjay Dutt. The actor also thanks those who have been the source of his strength during the tough times. Sanjay also thanked his doctors and other medical staff for taking good care of him. “I am especially grateful to Dr. Sewanti and her team of doctors, nurses and the medical staff at Kokilaben Hospital who have taken such good care of me in the last few weeks. Humbled and grateful,” he wrote. “This wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering faith and support from all of you. I am eternally grateful to my family, friends and all the fans who have stood by me and been my source of strength through this trying time. Thank you for the love, kindness and the countless blessings that you have sent my way,” he added.

Sanjay Dutt has informed his fans that he is taking a break from cinema for the time being due to illness. After surviving cancer, Sanjay Dutt is all set to return to the film industry. He also has a slew of projects lined up for release, including KGF: Chapter 2, Bhuj: The Pride of India, Prithviraj and Torbaaz. Dutt had been diagnosed with cancer in August this year and had put up a post on social media informing his fans about undergoing treatment for an illness, saying that he will beat the disease. In a recent video, which was shot at a salon that the 61-year-old actor frequents, he pointed towards a scar on his forehead and said, “This is a recent scar in my life, but I’ll beat it. I’ll be out of this cancer soon.” In September, Dutt also resumed shooting for Shamshera and is preparing to shoot for KGF Chapter 2 in November.
