Kozhikode: Bail for three accused in the case of scissors stuck in the stomach of Harshina, a native of Kozhikode, during delivery surgery. Kunnamangalam first class magistrate court granted bail to the accused. The court granted bail to the first defendant, Dr C.K. Ramesan (42), the third and fourth accused and staff nurses of the medical college M. Rahana (33), Devagiri Kalapurail K.G. Manju (43).
The second defendant Dr. Shahana did not appear in court. The court asked where the second defendant was. It was also suggested to send a summons to Shahana. The case will be heard again on July 20. Meanwhile, the complainant Harshina is still fighting for justice. On November 30, 2017, Harshina underwent a cesarean section at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
Harshina complained that the instrument got stuck in her stomach during the surgery. After that many complaints were filed and strikes were held. Following this, the police filed a charge sheet against four people.
