Second Pinarayi government is very weak, mistakes should be corrected; EP Jayarajayan openly writes in his autobiography

Former LDF convener E.P. Jayarajan has criticized the second Pinarayi Vijayan government as “very weak” in his autobiography, Kattan Chayum Parippu Vadayum: Oru Communistinte Jeevitham . This sharp critique, notably released on the same day as by-elections in Chelakkara and Wayanad, has drawn significant attention.

Jayarajan’s book includes allegations of conspiracy surrounding his meeting with Prakash Javadekar before the Lok Sabha elections. He reveals that advertisements in *Deshabhimani* from individuals like Santiago Martin were obtained with prior notification to the Secretariat, though V.S. Achuthanandan later used this against him. Jayarajan also expresses dissatisfaction with Dr. P. Sarin’s candidacy in the Palakkad by-election and warns that Anwar’s candidacy in Chelakkara could harm the LDF.

The book’s cover features Jayarajan with EMS Namboodiripad, and it highlights his removal from the convener position. Jayarajan reveals his distress over the decision, not because he lost the position, but because he felt misunderstood by the party. He argues that such decisions should have involved the central committee and notes that the party’s handling of the matter caused misunderstandings among its members. Despite the criticisms, Jayarajan affirms his loyalty to the party, emphasizing that he will continue to work alongside it.
