Union Minister Suresh Gopi visited the Vadakkumnath temple on the day of Shivaratri. The Union Minister reached the temple after inaugurating the Mahaparikrama program being held as part of Shivaratri. A large crowd of devotees has been seen at the Vadakkumnath temple since 3 am.
The Union Minister was accompanied by former Indian football team captain I.M. Vijayan. The Union Minister spent about half an hour at the temple and also participated in a special puja performed on the occasion of Shivaratri.
Big events are organized at the temple on the day of Shivaratri. Hundreds of devotees visit the temple to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva on the auspicious day.
