Kalpatta: SFI College Union President K. Arun and unit secretary Amal Ihsan surrendered. The accused surrendered at DYSP office in Kalpatta. The arrest of the accused will be recorded on Friday.
SFI unit member Idukki Ramakalmedu resident S. Abhishek (23), Rehan Binoy (20), natives of Thiruvananthapuram, S.D. Akash (22), RD. Srihari, Thodupuzha resident Dons Dai (23) and Wayanad Batheri resident Bill Gates Joshua (23) were arrested earlier. Eight people are to be arrested in the case.
The Wayanad SP is overseeing the investigation into Siddharth’s death. DySP Kalpatta is the investigating officer. A DySP will also be part of the special team. Akhil, the main accused in the case related to Siddharth’s death, was arrested by the police from Palakkad. 11 accused in the case including SFI unit secretary Amal Ishan, college union president K. Arun and union member Asif Khan were absconding.
