Sidharthan was tortured continuously for eight months , Anti-Ragging Squad Report

According to the anti-ragging squad report, JS Siddharthan, who died of ragging in Pookode Veterinary College, was tortured continuously for eight months. Siddharth was subjected to ragging by SFI leaders.

Every day since he started staying in the hostel, Siddharthan had to report to the room of K Arun, president of the college union and member of the SFI unit committee. Siddharthan was instructed to come to Arun’s room every morning and evening.

Stripped and ragged several times in the room. The classmate gave a statement to the anti-ragging squad that Siddharthan had said this. On Siddharth’s birthday, they tied him to an iron pole in the hostel and threatened to douse him with petrol. The college union leadership had decided that Siddharth, who was active in the campus, should be suspended.

Meanwhile, some of the security staff of the veterinary university were not ready to give a statement to the squad. In the wake of the new revelations, the Anti-Ragging Squad has decided to submit a final report to the Vice Chancellor after seeking legal advice.
