CBI seeks expert advice from AIIMS Delhi to clarify Siddharth’s death

The CBI has approached Delhi AIIMS to unravel the mystery of whether the death of Pookode Veterinary College student Siddhartha was suicide or murder. The CBI has sent Siddhartha’s post-mortem and forensic reports to AIIMS and sought expert advice from AIIMS Delhi officials.

CBI’s dummy inspection was first conducted in the hostel washroom of Siddharth, who was killed following a brutal mob trial at Wayanadpookode Veterinary College. The CBI team reached the college hostel to collect scientific evidence in Siddharth’s death. The team consisted of ten people led by CBI DIG, SPs AK Upadhyay and Sundarvel. Forensic officers are also with them. The CBI had directed that all those who were present on the day of Siddharth’s death should appear today.

The scientific investigation is against the backdrop of allegations that Siddharth’s death was a murder. The washroom of the hostel where Siddharth was found dead was locked from inside. When the door was opened and inspected, Siddharth was found hanging in his underwear, including the students. The test is done to clarify this. Earlier, the CBI had recorded the statements of Siddharth’s relatives and the students who were in the hostel.

The scientific examination was led by DIG Lovely Katiyar. A forensic team from Delhi had also reached the hostel. At 9:30 this morning, the CBI team reached the boys’ hostel of Pookode Veterinary College. The investigation team consisted of ten persons including DIG and two SPs.

The investigation team inspected the room where Siddharth was brutally beaten, the courtyard where he was the victim of mob trial and the washroom where he was found hanging. The scientific test was carried out with a dummy of Siddharth’s weight and height. All those who were present when Siddharth was found dead had come as requested by the CBI.
