Special Entry Pass Introduced for Sabarimala Devotees Taking Forest Route to Skip Queues

Pathanamthitta: Devotees trekking to Sabarimala via the forest route can now avail of a special entry pass for hassle-free darshan, announced Devaswom President P.S. Prashanth.

The special passes will be issued from Erumely, and similar facilities will be extended to those traveling via Pullumedu. The Devaswom Board stated that the initiative is expected to be implemented in the coming days to enhance convenience for pilgrims.

There has been a long-standing need to provide facilities for devotees coming via Pullumedu and Erumeli to have darshan at the Sannidhanam without having to stand in a queue. Devotees reach the shrine by walking a long distance through the forest.

It will take about forty kilometers to reach the sanctum sanctorum. More than five thousand people come to Sabarimala every day through this forest path. The decision to give them special consideration will be of great benefit to the devotees, added PS Prashanth.
