Last day, the child was admitted to a private hospital in Malappuram with symptoms including fever and vomiting. Later, when the symptoms worsened, the child was shifted to a private hospital in Kozhikode. The fluid was sent to the Pune Institute of Virology after the preliminary examination suspected Nipah infection.
A 14-year-old boy is currently undergoing treatment. The child has serious health problems. Health Minister Veena George directly intervened in the matter and gave suggestions.
