Temperature hike in Kerala, Yellow alert in ten districts

Thiruvananthapuram: Yellow alert has been announced in 10 districts in the state today in view of rising temperature. According to the Central Meteorological Department, it may be two to four degrees Celsius hotter than normal. The highest temperature in Palakkad district is expected to reach 39 degree Celsius.

The central weather department has warned that the temperature may be two to four degrees Celsius higher than normal. The maximum temperature in Kollam district may touch 38 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature in Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts may touch 37 degree Celsius.

According to the Central Meteorological Department, the high temperature is likely to rise up to 36 degrees Celsius in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
