Temperature in Kerala May Rise by Up to 3 Degrees, Caution Advisory Issued

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in several districts of Kerala due to a predicted rise in temperature today. Temperatures may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal levels, according to the weather advisory.

The IMD forecasts maximum temperatures of up to 38°C in Thrissur and Palakkad, 37°C in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod, and 36°C in Alappuzha and Malappuram.

Due to the high temperature and humidity, most regions in these districts—except for hilly areas—are likely to experience hot and humid weather conditions.

No rainfall warnings have been issued for any district. However, authorities have also advised the public to take precautions against ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure.
