Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has said that the temperature is likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius above normal in isolated places in Kerala for the next two days. Due to high temperature and humid air, there is a possibility of hot and uncomfortable atmospheric conditions. In the event of high heat being reported in the state, the State Disaster Management Authority has also issued cautionary instructions for the public.
Along with the temperature warning, the Central Meteorological Department has also warned of the possibility of rain in the state for the next five days. A yellow alert has been issued for the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta. High heat can cause several serious health problems including sunstroke, heatstroke and dehydration.
