The Chief Minister is against showing the movie Kerala Story on Doordarshan

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wants Doordarshan to immediately withdraw its decision to screen the movie The Kerala Story, which was made with the aim of promoting hatred against Kerala.

Kerala is a region where people belonging to different religious groups live together in mutual brotherhood. This film is a product of the scumbag brainchild of the Sangh Parivar, aiming to ridicule Kerala, which stands tall in front of the world, and to foster religious rivalry.

The Chief Minister said that those who criticized Kerala as Somalia, which is a model for the country in the eradication of extreme poverty and which is at the forefront of various indicators including the NITI Aayog, are now making a covert attempt to spread the word that religion is the center of change.

There has already been a widespread protest against the film based on the lies and hatred spread by the Sangh Parivar. An institution like Doordarshan should not become a puppet that works according to the communal agenda of the Sangh Parivar. Doordarshan is not an agency to carry out communal propaganda for BJP candidates. The announcement that this movie will be aired on April 5 is tantamount to insulting the whole of Kerala. The Chief Minister also stated that secular Kerala will stand united against such destructive moves for communal polarization.
