The entrance and elephant decorations at the Vadakkekad Njamanengad Bhagavathi Temple were vandalized; three people have been arrested

As part of the Vadakkekad Njamanengad Bhagavathi Temple festival, the decorative gate and elephant ornaments arranged by the Sangha Grama Chakkithara Pooram Celebration Committee were vandalized. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the incident by the police team led by Guruvayur ACP Sunoj and Vadakkekad SHO Anilkumar. The arrested persons are Abhilash, Abhijith, and Devajith, all residents of Anjoorkunnu.

The incident took place around 10 PM on Monday night. Immediately after, a police team led by ACP Sunoj and SHO Anilkumar arrived at the scene, conducted an investigation, and apprehended the culprits. The vandalism occurred near the Njamanengad Veterinary Hospital while a music concert was taking place at the temple. The decorative gate was destroyed, followed by damage to the ornaments of the elephants Pampadi Rajan and Cherpulassery Ananthapadmanabhan, which were displayed on Chakkithara Road. A ceremonial fan (Venchamaram) was also taken. The estimated loss is around seventy thousand rupees.
