New Delhi: SNC has entered the eighth year in the Supreme Court. Final arguments in Lavalin’s case will begin on Wednesday. The case is being heard by a bench headed by Justice Suryakant. So far the Lavalin case has been listed 30 times but nothing much has happened.

The Supreme Court is considering the CBI’s appeal against the acquittal of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other accused’s pleas against the High Court’s decision to face trial. In December 2017, the CBI approached the Supreme Court demanding that three people, including Pinarayi Vijayan, be made accused again. Notice sent on January 1, 2018. As the parties started applying for adjournment of the case on the grounds that there were more documents to be submitted, the hearing began to drag on endlessly.
