The strike of ASHA workers enters the 44th day

The day-and-night protest by ASHA workers at the Secretariat steps has entered its 44th day. Today marks the second day of the mass hunger strike by the ASHA workers. Meanwhile, the hunger strike led by the protest committee leader M.A. Bindu has entered its sixth day.

In connection with the protest, the SUCI will respond to the allegations raised against them in a press conference today. The state secretary, Jaison Joseph, will address the media at 11 a.m. Meanwhile, the INTUC will lead a march to the Health Minister’s residence today, demanding the protection of ASHA workers’ rights.
