Thrissur: After Paramekkavu, permission has been granted for Thiruvambady Vela fireworks. The ADM has handed over the order granting permission for the fireworks to the Thiruvambady Devaswom.
The Paramekkavu Devaswom Board was also given permission to perform fireworks the other day. The permission was given to the Devaswoms as per the High Court’s directive. The permission was given to the Devaswoms after they implemented the matters as per the court’s directive.
The District Collector had pointed out that there was no situation to set off fireworks without endangering the lives and property of the people under the new Central Explosives Act. The Collector rejected the application of the Devaswoms after considering the reports of various departments. Earlier, as per the Central notification, the permission for the Vela fireworks of both the Devaswoms was denied.
