Thrissur: GST Intelligence Conducts Raids on Gold Manufacturing Units, Shops, and Residences

In Thrissur, the GST Intelligence Department has conducted raids on gold manufacturing centers, shops, and the residences of business owners. The raid, which is part of a larger operation across Kerala, involved around 700 officials from various parts of the state.

This is the largest raid conducted by the GST department in Kerala. The department has reported the discovery of unaccounted gold and documents during the operation. The raid is being led by GST Special Commissioner Abraham, and so far, 104 kilograms of unaccounted gold have been seized. The operation is ongoing at 74 locations in Thrissur.

The raid is primarily focused on wholesale trading establishments. It began yesterday morning and continued into today. The operation was initiated based on complaints of GST evasion in gold manufacturing units.
