Thunderstorm with Moderate Rain Predicted in Kerala Over the Next Five Days

Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms across Kerala over the next five days. The weather conditions are attributed to a cyclonic circulation over the Comorin region, which could result in heavy rainfall in isolated areas.

A cyclonic circulation has also formed over the Sumatra coast and the southern Andaman Sea, with the potential to develop into a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal by November 23. Within the subsequent two days, it is expected to intensify into a deep depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal.

IMD has issued a yellow alert in four districts of Kerala today: Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Ernakulam, urging residents to remain cautious amid the evolving weather conditions.
