Kochi: Following the defeat in the Palakkad by-election, the BJP state leadership meeting will be held today in Kochi. The main agenda of the meeting will focus on matters related to the elections. However, the party’s leader K. Surendran’s opponents within the party are seeking to raise the issue of the humiliating defeat in Palakkad during the meeting.
There is a strong demand within the party for Surendran to resign. However, Surendran and his supporters remain confident, citing their backing from the central leadership. On the other hand, Surendran’s critics within the party are dismissing his offer to resign as mere drama.
