Today is International Yoga Day, Prime Minister to Participate in Yoga Session in Srinagar

Today, International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead yoga in Srinagar. The Prime Minister will attend the 10th International Day of Yoga program at SKICC, the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center located on the banks of the famous Dal Lake in Jammu. The Prime Minister will address the audience on the occasion and will then participate in a CYP yoga session.

Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha informed that around 7,000 people from different areas will join the Prime Minister. Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said that the whole of Kashmir is happy and proud that the Prime Minister is conducting yoga practice in the valley. Governor said.

International Yoga Day is an idea put forward by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 69th United Nations Assembly on September 27, 2014. 177 out of 193 nations have accepted Yoga as a comprehensive karmic plan beneficial to the health and well-being of mankind.

Significance of International Yoga Day

Create Global Awareness: The day aims to educate people around the world about the health benefits of yoga. This will encourage everyone to include yoga in their daily routine.

Physical Health: Practicing yoga is beneficial for increasing flexibility, strength and endurance. Yoga can prevent and control various physical ailments including back pain and heart related problems.
