Walayar Case: CBI Requests Court to Include Girls’ Parents as Accused

Kochi: The CBI has asked the trial court to make the mother of the girls who died in the Walayar case, the father of the younger girl and the stepfather of the older child an accused in the case. The CBI has found that the mother was also involved in sexually abusing minor girls in Walayar.

In the chargesheet filed in the Kochi CBI court, the investigation team states that the first accused had sexual intercourse with his mother in front of their children and subjected the younger child to unnatural sexual abuse with the mother’s knowledge.

The CBI, which took over the investigation on a petition filed by the child’s mother against the state police investigation, filed a chargesheet naming the mother as the second accused and the father as the third accused. Various sections were charged, including abetment to suicide.

The CBI investigation was into the case of two girls, aged 13 and 9, who were found hanging in a room of their house 52 days apart. The mind-numbing discovery was later made in the chargesheet filed in a court in Kochi by the CBI, which took over the case on the instructions of the High Court on the petition of their mother.
