A wave of social media protests from BJP supporters has surfaced against Sandeep Warrier, criticizing him for comments directed at the party during a crucial time. Despite his strong standing within the party and growing potential for a legislative assembly seat, Warrier’s recent remarks have sparked backlash. Supporters have shared messages on platforms like WhatsApp expressing their disapproval, with sentiments like the following circulating widely:
“Sandeep Warrier…you are free to join any party you wish, no one will stop you. This party has a history where, for every one person who leaves, ten more will join. Just a reminder, remember this…”
The messages continue with references to prominent BJP leaders’ sacrifices in times of personal loss, emphasizing the dedication expected within the party:
“When his mother passed away, there was no one to comfort him. Yet, without delay, he performed her last rites and returned to his duties. This country has a Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who is a committed RSS volunteer at heart.”
It goes on to mention other BJP leaders’ sacrifices, drawing parallels:
“An interior minister of this country, Amit Shah, was once barred from seeing his mother’s last rites by a Congress-led government, confined to a small room. Today, he serves as this nation’s Home Minister.”
They also reference Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who allegedly was barred from seeing his mother’s body and was imprisoned after a brutal attack.
These messages circulating on social media highlight the perceived sacrifices and commitment expected of BJP leaders, with party supporters indirectly comparing Warrier’s actions against these examples. The backlash reflects a deep-rooted expectation of loyalty and selflessness within the party’s ranks.
