Director Dinesh Poochakad, who wrote and directed the film “Ramanum and Khadeejaum,” has received death threats. The film narrates the lives of lovers caught in a tumultuous relationship. The threats came just as the movie is preparing for its release.
Recently, a threatening message was left on the porch of Poochakad’s house. The Bekal police have registered a case regarding the incident. The film’s theme is believed to be the reason behind the death threats. According to director Dinesh Poochakad, he had been receiving continuous threats and net calls since the filming began but chose to ignore them. However, the receipt of a letter at his home has raised concerns.
The film, produced under the banner of Kanjangad Films, features newcomers Dr. Harishankar and Aparna Hari in the lead roles. Filming has been completed in Kanjangad and surrounding areas, and the movie has received a certificate from the censor board. It is set to be released in theaters soon.
