Viral Kumbh Mela Girl Monalisa Bonslay to Star in Sanoj Mishra’s Film ‘Diary of West Bengal’

Bhopal: Kumbh Mela’s viral Monalisa to star in a movie. Director Sanoj Mishra has announced that 16-year-old Monalisa Bhonsle, a native of Indore, will star in his film “Diary of West Bengal”. He said that the film is a love story and Monalisa will play one of the heroines.

He added that he met Monalisa and her family at their home and that they had agreed to play Monalisa in the film. Monalisa went viral on social media while selling garlands at the Kumbh Mela. The girl had come from Indore in Madhya Pradesh with her family to sell garlands at the fair. Monalisa became famous after being interviewed by foreign and local channels. The videos of her interviews have received lakhs of views.

The family said that business was disrupted as YouTubers, channels and Kumbh Mela visitors flocked to them for selfies and videos. The father then decided to send the girl back home. The father said that it was not good for Monalisa to continue at the Mela and that returning to Indore was the best course of action for her well-being and livelihood.
