Kochi: The Central Government has extended the fund utilization deadline for the Wayanad Rehabilitation Project. However, the extension comes with certain conditions. The funds can now be utilized until December 31, 2024. The Centre informed the High Court about this decision.
The High Court has directed the Centre to clarify the specific conditions attached to the extension. The Division Bench also cautioned against taking the matter lightly, stating that one should not exploit the situation for personal gain. To bring clarity on the matter, the Central Government will submit an affidavit in court on Monday.
