Uma Thomas, who suffered a serious accident after falling from the stage at the Kaloor International Stadium, is now recovering. West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose visited Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas to check on her well-being. “The prayers of all of Kerala were with me,” said Uma Thomas.
While she mentioned having some difficulty opening her eyes, she reassured that she is otherwise in good health. “Perhaps it was P.T. Thomas who supported me and brought me back to life. Even the slightest pain for me while alive was unbearable for him,” Uma Thomas told the Governor. The Governor also reminisced about his friendship with P.T. Thomas. Laughing, Uma Thomas added that she never thought she would have to visit Rene Medcity as a patient, despite her close association with the facility.
The accident occurred during the inauguration of a mega Bharatanatyam event at the Kaloor International Stadium, aimed at setting a Guinness World Record. Uma Thomas suffered severe injuries to her head and lungs and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi.
