Wild Elephant Attack in Athirappilly; Two People Killed

In a tragic incident in Athirappilly, two people were killed in an elephant attack. The victims have been identified as Satish and Ambika from Vazhalchal Shastham Poom. Ambika’s body was found in the Chalakudy River. The incident occurred last night. The families had set up camp in the Vanchikadavu area of Athirappilly to collect forest resources when the elephant herd attacked.

A few families were present at the location when the elephants charged, scattering the group. It is reported that Satish and Ambika, who were at the front, were attacked by the elephants. Other members of the group were moved to safety by forest department officials. Just the day before, one person was killed in a similar elephant attack in Athirappilly. Unfortunately, this incident has resulted in the loss of two more lives.
