Thiruvananthapuram: With eight days left for the rank list to expire, candidates who were included in the women civil police officer rank list are standing on one leg over the Salt for the government’s mercy.
A separate protest was held in front of the secretariat with folded hands and one leg. The candidates said that they would fight till the last day and that they had worked hard to get included in the rank list. The protesters said that it was their right to be appointed from the list and that is what they were asking for.
The candidates had been begging and protesting on the pavement in front of the secretariat the other day, demanding immediate appointment from the list. The candidates, who confessed that it was their fault for studying and being included in the rank list, begged the authorities with alms bowls. Their rank list expires on the 19th.
