Veteran actor Ravikumar (71) passed away at around 9 AM at a hospital in Velachery, Chennai. The news of his demise was confirmed by his son. He had been battling cancer. Reports say the funeral will be held tomorrow.
He made his screen debut in the 1967 film Indulekha. He gained recognition in Malayalam cinema with the 1976 film Amma. Over the years, he acted in over a hundred films including Avalude Raavukal, Lisa, Angaadi, Sarppam, Theekadal, and Anupallavi. He also appeared in several popular television serials.
