Chargesheet prepared against Sathyabhama for defamatory remarks against Ramakrishnan.

Thiruvananthapuram: A charge sheet has been prepared against Kalamandalam Sathyabhama. The charge sheet states that Sathyabhama abused Ramakrishnan himself in a controversial interview on a YouTube channel and spoke with the belief that he was a Scheduled Caste. The owner of the YouTube channel that aired the interview, Sumesh Marcopolo, is also an accused in the case.

Kalamandalam Sathyabhama’s remarks against RLV Ramakrishnan were a huge controversy. Despite widespread criticism, Sathyabhama was not ready to apologize or correct herself. This led to a complaint being filed against Ramakrishnan with the police. The first challenge for the police was to prove that Sathyabhama’s claim that she did not mean Ramakrishnan was wrong. After thoroughly investigating the clues given by Sathyabhama in the interview and collecting the statements of the relevant witnesses, the police confirmed that it was against Ramakrishnan. The remark was that the dancer from Chalakudy was the color of a crow.

There is no other artist of this kind in Chalakudy other than Ramakrishnan. The next remark was that he teaches nothing else than what he has studied. Ramakrishnan studied MA Bharatanatyam at RLV, Tripunithura. But he was teaching Mohiniyattam. The next was that he was the artist who had a fight with KPAC Lalitha while he was the chairman of the Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. KPAC Lalitha’s son Siddharth gave a statement that it was Ramakrishnan who had a fight with his mother. The police also found that Sathyabhama had a previous enmity with Ramakrishnan.

The statements given by Satyabhama’s accusers about the personal enmity were also crucial. Satyabhama’s claim that she was unaware of Ramakrishnan’s caste was also proven to be false. The hard disk of the YouTube channel that aired the interview and the pen drive containing the interview have been taken into custody by the Cantonment Police. It is also noteworthy that the charge sheet is being filed in court just after Ramakrishnan took charge as an assistant professor at Kalamandalam. If found guilty, Satyabhama can face a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison.
