Jiji Martin, father of actress Prayaga Martin, has issued a statement regarding allegations that Prayaga visited notorious gang leader Om Prakash at a hotel in Kochi. Jiji clarified that Prayaga was unaware of such matters and that he had spoken to her about the situation.
Neither Prayaga nor actor Sreenath Bhasi, who is also linked to the visit, have commented on the issue so far. According to the police, both actors reportedly visited the hotel where Om Prakash was staying in Kundannoor. The individual who facilitated their visit has been taken into custody by the police. The arrested man, Binu Joseph from Elamakkara, is currently being interrogated by Ernakulam South Police.
Police have revealed that Binu Joseph, currently in custody, is a key figure in the drug trade in Kochi. Authorities are investigating whether the recent visit of actors Prayaga Martin and Sreenath Bhasi to the hotel linked to notorious gang leader Om Prakash is connected to drug-related activities.
Sreenath Bhasi has faced previous accusations of drug use, and in 2023, he was temporarily banned by film associations following allegations of misbehavior on set. The investigation is ongoing to determine any involvement of the actors in the drug trade.
