PM Narendra Modi Celebrates 23 Years in Public Service, Expresses Gratitude to All

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude as he completed 23 years in public service, thanking the BJP for choosing him to lead Gujarat. He shared his message of thanks through X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging the party’s trust in selecting a worker like him to govern the state.

“Heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent their blessings and wishes. On October 7, 2001, I took charge as Gujarat’s Chief Minister. It was a government powered by the people, overcoming challenges to rebuild Gujarat and leading it to new heights of progress,” Modi wrote.

The BJP lauded his journey from Gujarat to the national stage, calling it an “inspiration filled with life.” Under his leadership, they highlighted, India has reached “new standards” in global stature and progress.

Modi served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister for 13 years, beginning in 2001, before becoming Prime Minister in 2014 and again in 2019. This June, he began his third consecutive term as Prime Minister.
