Kozhikode: A four-year-old boy undergoing treatment at a private hospital has been diagnosed with amoebic encephalitis. The disease was confirmed in the Pondicherry Virology Lab. A child from Kozhikode was diagnosed with the disease.
The child had been diagnosed with amoebic encephalitis during the preliminary examination. The doctors informed that the condition of the child under treatment is satisfactory.
Four days ago, the child was transferred to the room. But the three-and-a-half-year-old boy from Kannur, who was diagnosed with the disease the other day, is still on ventilator. The child is responding to medication.
