New Delhi – Clashes during BJP’s protest march to the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters in protest against the tragedy at the IAS coaching center. Alleging that the responsibility of the corporation and the Aam Aadmi Party, which is ruling the state, is responsible for the incident, the workers led by the Delhi BJP president marched to the AAP headquarters. The BJP leaders also demanded the sacking of the officials responsible.
But when the protest turned violent, the Delhi Police fired water cannons at the activists. The activists who did not withdraw from the protest were later arrested and removed by the police.
Meanwhile, MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar informed that a junior engineer of MCD who was involved in the accident at the coaching center has been dismissed and another assistant engineer has been suspended pending investigation. The executive engineer has also been asked to explain the incident. The MCD sealed the basements of 13 civil service coaching centers in the area following the accident.
Meanwhile, the protesting students alleged that the government and the police are hiding the actual death toll in the flood in the coaching center. The students say that they need to find Sambavi and Avinash. The students also demanded that the Rao Institute announce financial assistance to the families of the deceased students.
