Srinagar: Four killed in an explosion at a fire shop in Kashmir’s Baramulla. The deceased have been identified as Naseer Ahmed Nadru (40), Asim Ashraf Mir (20), Adil Rasheed Bhat (23) and Muhammad Azhar (25). The explosion took place at Akrikada in Shire Colony in Sopore.
The blast happened when some people were unloading explosives from a truck that had come from Ladakh. Three people died on the spot and one died on the way to the hospital.
It is not yet confirmed what kind of explosion took place. Police have started an investigation. All those killed are residents of Sher Colony. The exact nature and cause of the explosion was not immediately known. A team of forensic experts has reached the spot, the official added.
