Athira Murder Case: Lookout Notice Issued Against Accused Johnson

Thiruvananthapuram: Police have issued a lookout notice for Johnson, the accused in the Kadinamkulam murder case. Johnson, who has a significant following on Instagram, is now on the run.

The incident occurred last Tuesday. Around 9 AM, Johnson arrived at Athira’s house in Kadinamkulam
. Athira welcomed him with tea. However, shortly after, he brutally killed her by stabbing her in the neck with a knife.

On the morning of the crime, police obtained evidence showing Johnson leaving his rented house in Perumathura with a knife. After committing the murder, he reportedly fled on Athira’s scooter and later boarded a train to escape, according to police findings.

Johnson’s native place is Dalavapuram in Kollam’s Neendakara. After marriage, he had settled in Chellanam, his wife’s hometown. He has three children and had separated from his wife. Investigations revealed that Johnson and Athira had traveled together to multiple locations.

Key evidence emerged after police conducted a forensic analysis of Aathira’s mobile phone, which provided further insights into the case.
