Delhi: Political parties have ramped up their campaigns ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. BJP National President JP Nadda will participate in three rallies today. In the coming days, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will join BJP rallies in Delhi. AAP candidates will be supported by Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, who will attend various rallies today. Rahul Gandhi will also participate in campaign events for Congress.
Meanwhile, ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, BJP released its manifesto, which prioritizes women’s empowerment. Union Minister JP Nadda presented the manifesto’s first part, which promises ₹21,000 for pregnant women, six nutritional kits, ₹5,000 for the first child, and ₹6,000 for the second child. The BJP also introduced the “Mahila Smriti Yojana,” offering ₹2,500 per month as financial assistance to women.
Nadda also criticized AAP’s 2021 promise of ₹1,000 for women, alleging that it had not been fulfilled in Punjab or Delhi. BJP has pledged a ₹500 subsidy for LPG cylinders and free delivery of two cylinders to Delhi residents during Diwali and Holi. BJP also assured that if it comes to power in Delhi, the Ayushman Bharat health scheme will be implemented in the first Cabinet meeting, a scheme opposed by the AAP government. Senior citizens will receive an additional ₹5 lakh in health coverage, bringing their total health coverage to ₹10 lakh, according to the BJP manifesto.
