NCR Corporation, the firm that makes ATMs (automated teller machines) in India has launched a UPI-enabled interoperable cardless cash withdrawing system here, according to reports. This facility has been launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the City Union Bank in a partnership.

This tech allows users to easily withdraw cash from an ATM without the credit or debit card. The City Union Bank has reportedly said that around 1,500 of its ATMs across the country already support this feature. You can withdraw money using this tech by using your smartphone and any UPI-enabled application like BHIM, GPay, Paytm, PhonePe etc. In this, the customers need to open any platform which supports UPI app like Google Pay, Bhim, Phonepe, Amazon, Paytm, among others on the smartphone. the customer needs to scan the QR code which is present at the ATM screen. After this, the customer needs to enter the amount of money that needs to be withdrawn. Once you are done with the process, you need to enter your 4 or 6 digit UPI pin, and after this, you will be able to withdraw cash from ATM. Initially, the money withdrawal through UPI will only allow Rs 5,000, which will be increased later.
