The body of a four-month-old infant was found in a well in Pappinisseri, Kannur. The deceased child belonged to a family from Tamil Nadu. Valapattanam police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The incident occurred last night. The deceased has been identified as Yasika, the daughter of Akkammal and Muthu. The family was residing in a rented quarters. According to the parents, they discovered the body in the well while searching for the missing child.
The couple was living with their elder brother’s children in the quarters. The body was found around midnight and was later shifted to the district taluk hospital. Police have arrived at the scene and initiated proceedings. Authorities stated that there is suspicion surrounding the incident.
