The government has decided to bear the entire medical expenses of those injured in the tragedy. There are indications that this may be announced during the Chief Minister’s visit.
The Opposition had criticized the Chief Minister for not reaching Pettimudi the day after the Karipur plane crash and for discriminating in the amount of financial assistance. However, the CM explained that he did not visit the area immediately after the accident due to weather problems and progress in rescue operations.
