Pathanamthitta: DYFI regional secretary of Pathanamthitta deported in Kappa case. Abhijit Balan, DYFI Tuvayur regional secretary, has been charged with Kappa and deported. The DYFI Regional Secretary has been mentioned in the police report as Rowdy Abhijit Balan.
DIG Nishanthini has issued a deportation order against Abhijith. The order also states not to enter Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts. DYFI Regional Secretary Abhijit Balan is accused in many cases like attempted murder, vehicular attack, threatening policemen.
The police officially informs the media about the deportation of the Kappa case accused. Police hid the matter from the media by charging Kappa against Abhijit as part of high level political interference. This hoarded report came out after a dispute between the DYFI leaders and the police. This is due to the split in the CPM in Adoor region.
According to the police report, Abhijit Balan is a known rowdy. Several cases are pending against him in Adoor and Koodal police stations. Kappa controversies are following CPM in Pathanamthitta one after the other. There was a big controversy when people with criminal backgrounds including the Kappa case accused were received in the presence of Health Minister Veena George. People including the minister came forward with justification but the leadership was cut off. Following this, the DYFI leader has now been deported under Kappa charges.
