Thiruvananthapuram: ED again sent notice to CMRL MD Sasidharan Karta. The ED has directed that he appear today. ED is proceeding with decisive moves in the case. Sasidharan had approached the court against ED on 12th of this month. He approached the ED seeking to stop further proceedings in the ED summons. But the High Court clarified that it cannot interfere in the ED investigation.
ED has not released the CMRL officials who were summoned for questioning yesterday. The case is related to the transaction between CMRL and Exalogic Company, headed by Chief Minister’s daughter Veena Vijayan.
ED had earlier sent summons to finance officers of CMRL in connection with the case, but they were not present for questioning. After this, the investigation agency decided to summon Sasidharan.
