The NIA has said that Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, has great influence in the Chief Minister’s office. The NIA told the court that the accused Swapna Suresh was acquainted with the Chief Minister. “Swapna had a casual association with CM,” the NIA told the court. According to the NIA, Swapna has a close relationship with M Sivasankar, the former principal secretary to the chief minister.
Several cases related to the gold smuggling case are currently pending in the NIA court. Assistant Solicitor General P Vijayakumar, appearing for the NIA, told the court: The Swapna had an accurate understanding of smuggling. Swapna also had close ties with M Sivasankar, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Even after resigning from the consulate, the dream reward was still there. They were included in the Space Park project by the Principal Secretary.
Swapna Suresh was also influential at the UAE Consulate. Without the dream, even the work of the Consul General would not have taken place. The NIA points out that even after his resignation, he worked at the Dream Consulate for $ 1,000 a month.
